Why Research Matters
BKA has used community research and surveys to better understand the experiences of people affected by kidney disease in The Bahamas. Questions have historically explored topics such as location, dialysis experience, medical coverage and how people connect with BKA.
When BKA opens a new public research survey, the active survey can be linked from this page. The Association should collect only the information necessary for the stated research purpose and explain how submitted information will be used.
Health Information & Privacy
Research involving personal or health information should use appropriate consent, privacy protections and a clearly stated purpose. Do not submit confidential medical records through a general website form unless BKA specifically requests them through an approved secure process.
